The Scout County of Avon supports Scouting across Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

The County of Avon no longer exists, but remains for Scouting purposes.  The area is sometimes referred to as “CUBA”; an acronym for the Counties that Used to Be Avon, and is sometimes referred to as the ‘West of England’.

Scouting is thriving in Avon with an increases in membership for the last eight years.

The Scout County is divided into a series of Districts, each of which is responsible for supporting Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts and Explorer Scouts in their District.  The Districts are: Axe, City of Bath, Bristol South, Brunel, Cabot, Cotswold Edge, Gordano, Kingswood and Wansdyke
