The Avon Scout County Sailing Section has 3 high performance sailing boats based at Chew Valley Sailing Club.

It is suggested that those Scouts/ Explorers with sailing experience of RYA Level 2 and beyond would most benefit from sailing these under Tuition/Instruction. No formal RYA training is undertaken at Chew but there are opportunities for sailing with spinnakers and trapezes by mutual agreement with the County sailing instructors.

Sailing takes place on Wednesday evenings and Saturdays from May to October. Dates and times are arranged by agreement when Instructors are available and weather permits.

Numbers are limited and the charge is £5 per person per session.
